Camila Nebbia & Antoine Viard
If saxophone was the only thing left
Camila Nebbia is a saxophonist, composer, improviser, visual artist, curator and educator. She shakes up hierarchical systems by exploring the counterpoints of the desire to migrate through multiple, but hardly separate, media. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and based in Berlin, Germany, this multidisciplinary artist develops her practice through the creation and destruction of archival memories.
Antoine Viard is an inquisitive and daring musician who is involved in a wide range of projects, both within the COAX collective and elsewhere. A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris in 2009, he has since devoted himself to developing his musical ambitions. He founded Pipeline and Hippie Diktat, which have been heard across Europe. At the same time, he has been involved in various projects with the COAX collective, which he has co-directed since its inception (Tribalism, Coax Orchestra, Brazil Mashup, etc.). More recently he has been developing his solo project, Tumulus, featuring his ‘electric’ saxophone. He can also be heard in groups outside the collective, including Uns (Mirr collective, creative jazz), Chameleo Vulgaris (Inversus Doxa, ethno-contemporary music) and The A.A’S (Le Bazardier, teenage free-rock).
