Faune

From the outset, Faune have played with electrification and amplification to convey their songs. It took a privileged encounter with a chapel for them to feel the urge to record an acoustic album. Thanks to the Superspectives festival in Lyon, they had access for 5 days to an ancient Roman cistern to record this double Vinyl – “Des Fantômes”.

Largely derived from Catherine Perrier and John Wright’s collections from Louise Reichert, the chosen tracks were recorded face to face (stopwatch in hand), arranged and orchestrated almost live. Once again, French and Occitan mingle, sometimes borrowing the same melodies for ultimately different songs.

So, if you hear ghosts between the grooves, maybe it’s not so abnormal. Enjoy it, and as they say: prenetz lo bon temps.
