Francesca Tandoi

Her love of jazz goes back to her teenage years, when as a budding classical pianist she first discovered Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, and soon afterwards those who were to become her great spiritual masters: Oscar Peterson in particular. It didn’t take much for Francesca Tandoi to have the revelation of swing, and to immerse herself fully in this music.

She went on to study piano and jazz singing in the Netherlands, at the prestigious Royal Conservatory of The Hague and then at the University and Conservatory of the Arts (Codarts) in Rotterdam.

In just a few years Francesca has become an internationally acclaimed artist, playing alongside such jazz greats as Scott Hamilton, Philip Harper, Owen Hart jr, Joe Cohn, Anthony Pinciotti, Jason Brown, Daryll Hall, Lee Pearson, Darius Brubeck, Dave Blankhorn, Florin Nicolescu, Marjorie Barnes, Sergey Manukyan and many others.

She is currently on tour at the head of her trio, alongside Matheus Nicolaiewsky (double bass) and Sander Smeets (drums).
