Deep Ford

Deep Ford unveils a melodically contoured path of curves and bounce. The trio explores the passages that the saxophone can weave its way through the intense mechanics of strings and struck skins, searching for the right timbre to melt a clarinet note into the depths of a bass keyboard, letting a drum song be heard on the imperturbable loops that accompany it. In the course of this crossing, Robin Fincker’s upright and inhabited sound combines with the singular preparations of pianist Benoît Delbecq and the precise and sharp mechanics of drummer Sylvain Darrifourcq to simultaneously combine the sensation of aquatic immersion with that of a crossing between two shores.
