How to represent the future in a century promised to disaster? The motifs of apocalypse, collapse and extinction dominate the political imagination and contemporary literary production, yet they have only a tenuous link with the heterogeneous, discontinuous and endless progression of climate change. This is why it is important to identify and make visible other ways of telling the story of the loss of the world, attentive to the long time of the upheavals, as much as to the inequalities in the face of the catastrophe.
