Bada-Bada
France

Tiss Rodriguez (drums), Lilian Mille (trumpet, keyboard) and Leo Fumagalli (sax, guitar, keyboard) met while studying jazz at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood (CMDL) in Paris. All experienced, multi-instrumentalists, they use improvisation to unleash their creativity and develop a repertoire that is both invigorating and, paradoxically, highly written. Bada-Bada play melodic, explosive and expansive jazz, mixing the concrete and repetitive music of Steve Reich, the pop of Bowie and Radiohead, and the atmospheres of Nils Petter Molvær, subtly blending acoustic and electronic on their first album, Portraits.
