For more than 10 years, Édouard Ribouillault (C_C) has been known for his unique production blend of distorto-bass and dub breaks as well as delivering hypnotic hour-long live performances with a table overflowing with various electronic doodads and devices. He’s released sound on radical labels such as Cold Moss, ZamZam Records, Fougère Musique, Kraak (amongst others) in addition to forging himself as the founder of the unstoppable noise/beat label “ThirdTypeTapes,” which publishes and supports many other sound-freaks the world over such as Tresque, Dave Phillips, Nah, KK Null. Édouard Ribouillault has been a musical underground force in these past years, but no less active in the wider European landscape as a community supporter. For the past 3 years, he’s been the lead instigator of “DistoMobile,” a sound system which he lends in service to his colleagues such as the Sonic Protest Festival or in support of “ZAD of NDDL,” a well-known autonomous land in the Loire-Atlantique area which has evaded efforts of eviction from the positively psychotic French government since the early 2010’s.

Needless to say, Édouard Ribouillault gets shit done. Moving to the countryside a few years ago, he found a renewed inspiration in limitation for his solo performances and productions by utilizing just a small sampler which he bends and contorts into bizarre sound landscapes. Sonic vignettes touching on the melancholic, alien, and melodic which summon early electronic sound experiments that were historically developed in science laboratories and offices.

He did collaborate with plenty artists over the years like DeadFader, Ilia Gorovitz, Léa Roger, Scott Sinclair and Mario Gabola amongst many others.
Active/touring collaborations are Od Bongo, a noise-bass duo with Somaticae, A_R_C_C with Arnaud Rivière which focuses on cutting edge noise improvisation, and Orchestral Heat, a digital reggae/dub duo with Regis Turner/Avventur.
