Cinna Peyghamy

France

Cinna Peyghamy studied computer music in Paris, Montreal and Saint-Étienne. His interest in electronics and computing led him to create his own sound production tools: glitch software, DIY amplifiers and synthesizers, motor-based mechanical instruments, etc. His first productions explored an electronic style that was both dark and rich in abrasive melodies and fragmented rhythms. Born in France of Iranian parents, he focuses his research on the hybridisation of the tombak (Persian percussion) and the modular synthesiser, creating an experimental improvisation device.
