d’incise

d’incise, an explorer of sound, liked to pretend he had no particular instrument, using anything that could be considered as such: programs, recordings, objects, percussion, harmonium, and so on. In recent years, however, he has refocused on analog electronic sources, carefully sampled and reassembled into solo concert proposals for loudspeakers.

He is interested in radicalism, reductionism and conceptual approaches, setting up specific devices for each new occasion or context, solo, group or thought for others. He tends to extract the tiniest details from elements, appreciates slowness and obsessive explorations of simple processes.

For many years, together with Cyril Bondi, he has been behind the activities of Insub. (label, big band, and more). Tresque is his alias when his music turns to the dance floor. He is also a founding member of the group La Tène. Laurent Peter is his birth name, but not many people use it. He currently lives between Brussels (most of the time) and Geneva (always a little).
