Héloïse Francesconi & MTUA

Héloïse Francesconi is a composer and musician. She works under her own name on a project in which she plays the modular synthesiser, sometimes adding objects or instruments. In this project, she likes to explore the range of the harmonic spectrum and let the synthesis develop in the given acoustic. She likes to sculpt matter and work on thickness, inspired by natural sounds such as the current of a river, a storm, rain or wind.

She ventures as much into wild, organic noise as into minimalist noise, seeking to immerse listeners in a deep, contemplative experience. Her inspirations range from Eliane Radigue to Keiji Haino, via John Cage. She is currently guitarist in the Toru trio (instrumental noise-rock/experienced jazz), co-founded the HHH trio (spatialised ambient), Beatum Teckels (musical theatre) and works with various artists (ceramists, performers, circus artists, video artists).

Mathieu Reynaud is a sound artist, composer and sound engineer. He works mainly with electronic synthesis, microphones and loudspeakers. For this tour, he is developing a minimalist setup using modular synthesizers that straddle the line between generative music and musique concrète gestures. MTUA‘s music is dreamlike. Using his electro-acoustic skills and his modulars as a transmitter case, he transposes experiences into subtle sonic intensities. It’s a journey from which deep ambiences emanate, inviting you to lose yourself in the meanders of his ethereal harmonies. Always surprising!
