Peemaï

Peemaï’s music is based on the traditional music of Southeast Asia, from Burma to Indonesia, which the musicians revisit by creating a sort of “World Ethnic Groove”, hypnotic rhythms and haunting melodies that recall the atmosphere of the banks of the Mekong, The warmth of the Bali jungle… Melodies from the “molam” (the rural blues of Laos and the Issan region of Thailand) mix with electro and reggae grooves, the sacred music of Indonesian gamellans with Hendrixian and Coltrannian sounds…
