Vincent Jehanno
Vincent Jehanno composes, plays and improvises in real time on a tape recorder, a Revox B77. He is interested in recorded sound that reveals a latency. By playing on magnetic tape, he creates a realism that is re-enacted ‘under erasure’. Ordinarily partial, but in substance. He reconstructs events in the manner of an echo chamber, bringing together acoustic snapshots (collected in the field, snatches of existences, lonely archives), resonant spaces, decomposing music and the residue-incidents of the instability of electro-acoustic tools.
