Barge
In partnership with Radio Canut
“Three puffs of delirium, ten years of life, thirty notebooks”.
On the program for this café culturel:
Collective listening to a sound creation by the Mayday radio team, based on the book “Barge” by Héloise K, followed by a time of sharing.
A voyage into the raw, poetic narrative written between 1999 and 2016 by Héloïse K., Barge is a logbook that navigates the waters of delirium. From a Berlin flat-share to the IMF counter-summit in Prague, by way of the psychiatric hospital in Dijon, Héloïse lets us wait for all the voices that, during her twenties, accompanied her in taking control of her madness. Through this intimate story, Héloïse also gives us a glimpse into the recent history of the struggle for the emancipation of messis and madwomen. With sincerity, power and irony, Barge speaks to all those who make psychic disorders an existential and political subject.
Since 2018 on Radio Canut (102.2 FM in Lyon), the Mayday program has been producing interviews, reports, adaptations, fiction and live shows of all kinds (sketches, readings, mood posts).
