La Cantatrice Chôme : inequality and sexism in the music industry
Projection & rencontre
La Cantatrice Chôme is a documentary project in three 40-minute episodes, to understand what influences the place of women in rock, electro and hip-hop and to seek solutions for a more egalitarian music world.
On the occasion of this evening, we will screen episode 1 of the ongoing series on the place of women artists in contemporary music. The story is made of testimonies of female musicians, performers and authors, but also of sociologists and teacher-researchers. This screening will be followed by a meeting with a panel of representatives from the field : Manon Caussignac (director of the film), Ciara Thompson (The Buttshakers), Garance Amieux (le Périscope / Collectif H/F), and Léa Petit (La Bobine)
