Josephine Foster + Elisa Flores

Josephine Foster is a North American singer-songwriter from Colorado. She has lent her mezzo-soprano and interpretive spirit to nearly twenty years of self-produced recordings. Her songs are rooted in early American folk-blues as well as classic song and Tin Pan Alley. For Josephine Foster, everything is music and our daily lives are sacred, innate and creative. She channels the sound of her indoor and outdoor landscapes and incorporates field recording into her pieces. Foster’s world is an extra-sensory radio piece, where songs envelop structures like climbing ivy envelops a house.

Elisa Flores from Lyon – the voice and guitar of post-punk band eat-girls – assembles her voice, loops, guitar, Farfisa and small percussion instruments in frozen, minimalist spaces. In total solitude, she connects intimate pop with ambient and electronic soundscapes.
