Malaby / Ber / Dumoulin

This funambulistic trio is quite simply one of the most exciting little experimental formations in contemporary jazz. Bringing together the lyrical, vehement style of Tony Malaby’s tenor saxophone (US), the Dadaist sounds of Jozef Dumoulin’s keyboards (BE/FR), and the mathematical, sensual drumming of young Samuel Ber (BE/FR), this improbable association invents a music full of material flows and embedded poly-vitalities – at once disconcerting and irresistibly energetic.

Their second album, Trees on Wheels, continues the ideas and creative processes developed during the creation of their first album, and will be released in 2025.
