Marthe Lea Band

Marthe Lea tackles the mysteries of music in an ingenious way. With her band, they deliver joyful, uninhibited music that imitates life. The Norwegian quintet‘s message to the public is clear: while respecting tradition, they want to take jazz in a different direction.

The album Herlighetens Vei, released at the end of 2023, is a follow-up to Marthe Lea Band’s more classical debut Asura from 2021. It retains the same vital energy and explores new nooks and crannies of the band’s wonderful universe, to be discovered on Wednesday 16 October at Le Périscope!

This concert is organised as part of Better Live, a project co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
