Listen | Giacomo, the inner self can play music too

Composer and vibraphonist Félix Joubert has chosen the path of introspection to tackle composition. A process of reflection and self-examination that has been accentuated by the period of withdrawal and questioning that we have just gone through. But rather than giving birth to a new “I” in the great narratives of our lives, it is “Giacomo” who takes shape. A double character whose instincts, feelings and personal journey are traced in the course of the compositions. This new episode of Work In Progress goes to meet this character, during a residency at Le Périscope. Félix Joubert tells us what Giacomo says about himself, in his work of creation and composition.
